Yes, rows of Yuccas and Cordylines are OUT! Planting styles are softening, less architectural feature plants, more drifts of soft foliage and flowers.

Salvia leucanthe (Mexican Sage), Thulbagia (Society Garlic) and good old fashioned Hydrangeas are currently putting on a beautiful display in my garden.

Another favourite is Buddleja Buzz Magneta. It’s common name is Butterfly Bush for a reason. The new ‘Buzz’ series stays compact and the almost constant flower display is an uplifting sight.
